On the sidelines of the Samarkand World Summit, the Director of the National Agency for Social Protection held bilateral meetings with representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, Georgia, Montenegro and France, and of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation.
The talks covered protecting children from violence, raising children in a family environment, and supporting people with disabilities, older people and families in difficult life circumstances.
The sides exchanged experience on digitalising social services, training social workers, inclusive education and keeping children safe in the digital environment. Information was shared on Uzbekistan’s Inson centres, the Mehrli Oila programme, early intervention and day care services, and the work of the Najot centre.
The meetings also explored prospects for developing cooperation through expert consultations, mutual visits and joint initiatives.
The main value of these talks lies in bringing together the experience of different countries to develop social services that are close to people, of high quality and tailored to their needs.
