The Summit takes place at the Silk Road Samarkand complex — one of the largest and most modern complexes in Uzbekistan. Address: Rowing Canal, Konigil massif, Samarkand 140100, Uzbekistan.

How do I register for the Summit and 2nd Congress?
You can register online through our official website by completing the registration form and choosing your participation type, or via the UzEvent mobile app, available on the App Store and Google Play. The UzEvent app keeps you up to date with the latest news, the event programme and personal matters such as visa support, your welcome volunteer, accompanying persons in Uzbekistan and other useful information.
Will there be opportunities for bilateral meetings?
Yes. One of the Summit's key goals is to expand your professional network and develop cooperation through bilateral meetings. For your convenience, dedicated meeting rooms for 8–10 people will be arranged within the complex.
What is the Samarkand Declaration, and who will adopt it?
The Summit will conclude with the adoption of the Samarkand Declaration on Investing in Children's Wellbeing, setting out agreed, actionable strategies, priorities and financing approaches to improve children's wellbeing. The Declaration will be developed through pre-Summit consultations and finalised during the Summit by an editorial commission that includes representatives of pathfinder states and stakeholders of the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children.

What is the dress code?
The dress code is formal business attire. Participants should wear professional clothing appropriate to the official nature of the event. Casual or overly informal clothing — such as jeans, sneakers or T-shirts — is not permitted. The dress code helps maintain a professional and respectful atmosphere throughout.
Can I apply to speak at the Summit and 2nd Congress?
Yes. Specialists interested in speaking can apply through the “Apply as a speaker” section of our official website. Candidates select a topic and provide details of their qualifications and relevant experience. Selected speakers will receive confirmation and further information about their participation.
Who covers travel and accommodation costs?
Organisers will cover registration, accommodation and meals for one invited high-level participant plus one representative from each invited delegation. Economy-class airfare and transfers will be considered by the organisers on request, subject to budget availability.
Which countries will participants come from?
Participants will come from more than 100 countries, including:
- Central Asia, Europe and the Middle East
- China, South Korea, Japan and other Asian countries
- Member states of the Organization of Turkic States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation
- Pathfinder countries of the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children
How many guests are expected?
The Summit and Congress are expected to bring together more than 600 participants, including First Ladies and ministers of social protection, finance, welfare, health and education, as well as representatives of children and adolescents, academia, civil society, the private sector and the media.
Are there visa requirements for attending in Uzbekistan?
Visa requirements depend on your citizenship. Citizens of many countries can benefit from visa-free entry or a simplified e-visa procedure when visiting Uzbekistan. We recommend checking the latest requirements on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
What is the weather like in Samarkand in October?
