The “Imkon” Center in Samarkand in the World Summit Spotlight

Equal opportunities for every child are an important step towards an inclusive society.

As part of the World Summit on Investing in Children’s Wellbeing, to be held in Samarkand on 21–22 October, international delegations are scheduled to visit the “Imkon” Center in the city of Samarkand.

The “Imkon” Center is a place that helps children develop and realise their potential, taking their individual needs into account.

Medical and social rehabilitation, special preschool education, correctional sessions and family support services are integrated here.

During the visit, which is part of the Summit programme, international guests will be shown Uzbekistan’s practical approaches to supporting children with special educational needs, providing them with comprehensive services and developing an inclusive environment.
