On the eve of the World Summit on Investing in Children’s Wellbeing in Samarkand, international experts and local journalists learned about the conditions, education and rehabilitation services created for children at the “Imkon” Center.
The facility, which opened in October 2026, has 150 places and is made up of 10 groups.
The Center can also provide outpatient rehabilitation services to up to 100 children aged 3–18 each month.
Here, preschool education is combined with medical, psychological and pedagogical support. Specialists help children develop movement, speech and communication skills, learn self-care and adapt socially.
The Center offers sensory integration sessions, art therapy, music and fairy-tale therapy, therapeutic physical exercise, massage, physiotherapy and aquatherapy. There is also a room equipped with special rehabilitation trainers to develop motor skills.
The main goal is to help each child learn, develop and become as independent as possible in everyday life.
Bringing education and rehabilitation together in one place makes it possible to work on both in a joined-up way.
To place a child in a specialised preschool institution, families can apply to their local “Inson” Social Services Center. Admission to outpatient rehabilitation services is based on the conclusion of the institution’s internal commission.
