Another high-level plenary session, this time devoted to education, is under way as part of the World Summit “Investing in Children’s Wellbeing” in Samarkand.
The session, “Investing in Early Years as the Foundation for Quality and Inclusive Lifelong Learning”, brings together education representatives from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as experts from UNICEF and the World Bank.
The discussions centre on investing in early childhood development, expanding access to preschool education, creating inclusive learning environments and ensuring that every child receives an education suited to their individual needs.
The session’s main focus is on how the opportunities created in a child’s earliest years lay a solid foundation for their further education, the realisation of their abilities and their future success.
